October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Here at Our Baby Our World
, we want to help the cause by raising awareness about the importance of being screened for early detection of breast cancer.
|In the U.S, about one of every eight women will experience breast cancer in her lifetime, making it the second most common cancer.
Fortunately, with early detection and advances in treatment, many women survive breast cancer. That's why it's so important to do regular self-exams, as well as undergo screening tests, known as mammograms, under your physician's advisement.
Studies suggest that, along with being healthy for babies, breastfeeding can reduce the risk of breast cancer.
We even carry cozy foot stools
to go along with your glider or rocking chair
; everything you need to get close to baby during this special time.
